I graduated from the University of Winchester with a degree in History and the Medieval World in 2014. My undergraduate dissertation was supervised by Professor Michael Hicks and focused on the social and political significance of heraldic badges in late medieval England. I’ve spent the last two years working for a variety of companies in the heritage sector including Historic Royal Palaces and English Heritage. I am currently undertaking an MA in Medieval Studies at the University of Lincoln and hope to explore men’s fashion in fourteenth century England in my Dissertation. Becoming an MA student at the University of Lincoln has given me the opportunity to get involved with the medieval history community both at the University and within the city; I am currently a volunteer with the Cathedral Library and I am helping with the first student-led medieval symposium, entitled ‘Writing Medieval History’, which will run on 5th May 2017.
